Meet Belal and Nazima

About The Healthy Muslims

The Healthy Muslims is co-founded by a husband and wife team, Belal Hafeez and Nazima Qureshi. Belal Hafeez is a Personal Trainer and Fitness Expert. Nazima Qureshi is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist with a Masters of Public Health. They provide life-changing online programs to clients worldwide, host in-person and online events, and provide culturally relevant tips to make lifestyle changes.

Belal Hafeez and Nazima Qureshi are the co-authors of The Healthy Ramadan Guide, a complete meal plan and fitness program as well as an informational guide to help the community have the healthiest Ramadan yet.

About Nazima

My name is Nazima Qureshi and I am a wife and a mom of two adorable baby girls. I have been featured in CNN, CBC, Canadian Living, and Self Magazine. I get it – life can get busy at times and your wellbeing can easily fall on to the back burner. Add in all the nutrition non-sense you see on the Internet and it get’s impossible to keep up with the latest health trend, let alone understand it. It doesn’t have to be that complicated. In fact, it isn’t.

I received my BASc from Ryerson University and an MPH in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Toronto. I am a Registered Dietitian through the College of Dietitians of Ontario.

As women, we take on many roles, both in our personal and professional lives. As women, we are often faced with unique challenges in our daily lives. I provide services exclusively for Muslimahs in order to create a haven where you can feel comfortable and confident as I go on this journey with you to a healthier lifestyle.

My philosophy is to live a healthy lifestyle that includes enjoying all foods as well as enjoying being physically active. Instead of focusing on restricting ourselves, let’s focus on what foods and fitness activities we can enjoy to help us live happier, healthier lives. I provide nutrition and fitness services to help you achieve your lifestyle goals.

Growing up in a South Asian household, I was surrounded by aromatic smells and flavours. This has played a great influence on my cooking style. I love creating new recipes with my own South Asian flair and healthy twist. Check out my blog for the latest recipes I have been working on. About Belal

Belal Hafeez is a Personal Trainer and Fitness Expert who is passionate about bridging the fitness gap in the Muslim community. He is the founder of Stronger with Belal, where he helps Muslim men become stronger and lose weight through in-person and online training.

While Belal serves clients internationally he also hosts community events, including events for youth and his annual Healthy Ramadan Tour.
